Wal-Mart No Sale

Things happen and it happens so subtly that we hardly realize it is taking place. Wal-Mart one of the giants among giants has taken the road of so many of the past.

There is only one motive for being in business and that motive is profit driven and search for the dollar, public be damned.

How many of the great corporations selling goods to the general public that have flourished to heights of unprecedented volume upon volume of business kingpindom come crashing to their come upunce?

Was not Montgomery Ward and Sears and Roebuck not world class leaders in volume and public acceptance until? Things happen and Wal-Mart is now poised to claim it's rightful share of how history has a subtle and sincere way of repeating itself.

What's the big deal you say, "So Wal-Mart had no baseball for sale." The issue is not whether they had baseballs for sale it is the cavalier attitude and manner in which this no baseballs for sale has permeated their corporate business methodology and a feel for things of importance other than the almighty dollar profit.

Possibly baseball and it's once prominence as our Nations Pastime Sport of choice is in decline and needs no one to feel a passion about baseball. I've said my say on the shock I experienced and will leave it for others to feel or not to feel this empty void of "Where have you gone Joe Dimaggio?"
