Adults are the Best Market for Invisible Braces

The best and most common market for braces has historically been children and teenagers because of the fact that their oral structure is in continuous growth and development, under such circumstances braces are able to work wonders and correct a set of teeth which may be misaligned.  10 to 20 years ago the market for braces only included 5% of adults but today that percentage has grown to 20 and 30%, these numbers depend upon the country and financial situation of its citizens, but regardless of financials the adult demand for braces has increased dramatically in the past few years.

This growth can be attributed to better campaigns and technological advances which promote oral health and public awareness about the diseases that can be treated at an early stage through periodic dental checkups.  Today we're going to focus on the demand for invisible braces.

It goes without saying that wearing metal braces can become a social problem amongst adults who rely on their looks in order to build and maintain social relations which are important in their business and professional lives as well as other personal ones.  Being that the case, the demand for invisible braces has increased dramatically because adults are more concerned about their looks and oral health than most adults were 20 or 30 years ago.

The most famous brand of invisible braces is called Invisalign, this product is meant to the same job that traditional metal braces do with the only difference that they can be removed while you eat or brush your teeth and they are obviously nearly invisible.  These are all great features that an adult can benefit from; unfortunately we can't say the very same thing about children and teenagers who might be interested in wearing invisible braces.  According to the manufacturing company the imaging technology and simulation which is needed in order to trace the path and successfully correct misaligned teeth doesn't work when an extra variable is added to the equation, that extra variable in children and teens is the growth factor.  Invisalign can simulate a scenario where a patient needs to move his or her teeth into a more natural position in order to improve the functionality of the bite but, the system can't get accurate predictions when growth is involved.

These characteristics make Invisalign the perfect product for an adult market because adults are more concerned about their physical appearance and they don't have to worry about a growing oral structure.
