How to Make Money With Your Blog
Remember when blogging started to get hot? It seemed like everybody had their own blog.
Most people used blogs to record their thoughts and share a little bit of their life stories with a (potentially) world-wide audience.
However, since then, blogging has become a full-time income for many
dedicated bloggers.
So, what makes the difference between the wannabe bloggers and the ones who pull in thousands of dollars each month?
Well, for starters, the successful bloggers start with a plan.
They treat their blog like a business and have steps in place to monetize their blogging activities.
There are a variety of ways you can make money from your blog. Here are a few of your best choices...
1. Adsense. One of the easiest and most common ways to monetize your blog is through Adsense advertising. This allows you to place a very simple code on your website and start immediately making money every time someone clicks on those ads.
Unfortunately, this is also one of the least profitable options. It's extremely easy to implement, but there are other things you can do to make a lot more money than you would from Adsense. I'm not saying that adsense is bad, but you should look at some alternatives before you put up Adsense.
2. Sell Advertising space directly. This option can be very lucrative. By selling ad space directly, you don't have to share your revenue with Google like you do with Google Adsense.
Instead, you set your prices and sell advertising directly to other website owners on a monthly basis. You can sell text links, banner space, sponsored blog posts, and more.
3. Build a List
This is by far the best way to monetize your blog. Start building a list of subscribers. Put up a sign-up form on your blog and start collecting name and emails. Of course, you'll want to give them a free report, free videos, or some sort of valuable free content for opting-in to your mailing list.
By building a large mailing list, you are building one of the most important assets in your business. These are people that you can mail again and again, which means you can sell to them again and again.
Please do not take for granted how powerful this is. On average, each person on your list should make you at least $1 per month. So if you have a list of 10,000 subscribers, that's $10,000 dollars per month.
