Homeopathy has a reputation throughout the world for addressing the most vicious and debilitating disease. Yet, it is often criticized by adherents to modern medicine for another reason. They say since homeopathy is made form extraordinary dilutions, that it can't have value. What is difficult for them to "wrap their heads around" is that there is blueprint in everything on this earth. It's inability to be seen doesn't eliminate its existence. Indeed, electricity cannot be seen and was not even measurable until relatively recently. Yet, it undeniably exits. Certainly, the criticism flung towards homeopathy regarding its tiny proportions is precisely the reason for its powerful ability.

Take Hypericum perf, for example. This remedy, in its undiluted, material form, is St. Jonn's Wort. It is commonly known as an herb that is capable of calming nerves and reducing nerve pain, such as after dental drilling and injuries of nerve rich areas. It can be a powerful analgesic when given after a crushing blow to the fingers, toes or tail bone. However, when taken to a higher level, such as in the potenization process of homeopathy, it will address the same pathology, but will be greatly enhanced. By diluting the herb in the method of the Homeopathica Pharmecopea International, the world wide governing body of homeopathic pharmacists, it renders the botanical into a most powerful ally. As I teach in my classes, herbs are lovely and have value, but homeopathics are profound.
If value is added when dilution is utilized, then it also stands to reason that detriment is removed. That is, the toxic effects of the original substance is actually antidoted, leaving behind only the curative medicine. Hence, there are no side effects as there are in gross medicines.

So does that mean there is nothing in homeopathic remedies? No. What remains is the energy, or idea, of the original substance. Just like the earth is energized after a lightening storm, the water that the remedy is diluted in is also animated. What remains is temperate, remedial action. But oh, what action! If you have ever had the opportunity to use a homeopathic remedy that was well chosen, you can attest to its powerhouse of effectiveness. But, don't just take my word for it, give homeopathy a try. You may find that there is more value in nothing than in something.
