A Review of the Shaklee Income Opportunity

Shaklee has been around forever, I remember ordering from them 30 years ago, well, maybe that is because they have been in business since 1956. And no, I have not been around that long. For a long time, since the beginning of Shaklee, no one really was interested in organic products. Now they are probably doing stronger than they have in the past.

Dr. Forrest C. Shaklee brought about Shaklee in 1915. He was the inventor of the world's first vitamin. He also brought about the word of mouth marketing system of referrals. This was during the time of plastics and synthetics and their introduction to the public. Since he was focused more on nature and using natural products, he was not a headliner in the news.

Shaklee has a philosophy, which is good but simple. This philosophy is "Absolute Unwavering Pursuit of Quality without Compromise, Ever." Shaklee is a network-marketing program that has a simpler plan of compensation. If you are looking to build this business for wealth, be prepared, you will need to bring in at least 200 people in your downline to make around a $1000. Keep in mind with persistance, good marketing and a plan of action it is very achievable for someone who isn't lazy.

But if you were looking to start a business with very little money, then this would be a possibility for you. It only costs $9 to get started then you make $7 profit on each person you bring in your organization. Now you know why I said you would need around 200 people to make any money.

Shaklee has not done the best job on BRANDING their product. This is vital to any successful marketing over the Internet. It is also important to have the proper training in a network-marketing plan, especially if you are going to be doing this on the Internet. Shaklee seems to be a bit behind the times in their training and do not provide the best support system. The distributor is left on his own to learn how to market the product alone and makes a plan to do it successfully online.

When it comes to the investment of $9, well, you get what you pay for, and the residual income opportunity, well, it seems to be nonexistent unless you are out there recruiting like crazy to get that $7. It is almost as if they are still working as if it were still the 1950s. When $7 was a lot of money. I don't think they have changed their compensation plan since then.

Again, I want to reiterate the value of their product. They do have a product that is worth marketing. It is made of botanical ingredients that go through extensive testing for its purity as well as making sure there are no containments.

Shaklee has helped many people to become healthier and to achieve their dreams and goals that way. But as far as the financial benefits, they really aren't there. If you sign up with your $9, it may be wise just to do it for the discounts on the products.
