Life is Full of adversity. It is virtually impossible to go through life without having arguments and disagreements with others. If you follow these simple 8 steps you will be able to resolve every conflict no matter if it's business or personal related in a manner that is beneficial to you.

In His book The Richest Man Who Ever Lived Steven K. Scott talks about the following steps to conflict resolution.

- Understand the Ramifications of every conflict Pick your battles carefully. You don't want to win at all costs. When you engage in a conflict make sure it is truly something you want fight over. Don't risk friendships, family or good business relations over small issues.

- Make it Your Goal to Achieve a Win Win Outcome The best possible outcome to any argument or conflict is where everyone feels they have gained. Always strive to achieve outcomes that are best for all parties involved.

- Gat advice from your counselors and mentors You should strive to get feedback from neutral people you trust before you engage or resolve a conflict.

- Don't make Personal attacks Don't use name calling or personal attacks in an attempt to win a conflict. If you are called names by others stick to the points and point out their tactics without resorting to them yourself

- Keep it Confidential Don't use confidential information told to you by others as ammunition in a conflict

- Don't drag it out Know when to end a conflict. Don't allow to let it linger.

- Give a Gift Sometimes a simple gift like a handwritten note or oral apology is all it takes to resolve a conflict and help others feel better. Other times bigger gifts like a flowers or candy can be used.

- Practice Forgiveness Be ready to forgive. Forgive if it you aren't asked to do so
