"Money is kind of a base subject. Like water, food, air and housing, it affects everything yet for some reason the world of academics thinks it's a subject below their social standing." ROBERT KIYOSAKI

There was this seminar by Robert Kiyosaki which made me read all his books and know more about Robert, his concepts and ideas about income and wealth. Since then I have been a big fan of him. Some of things he mentions is basic but it is something everyone should know and apply.

Talking about his two dads in his best seller RICH DAD POOR DAD, he gives an insight into the thinking of two different kinds of people with different kind of approaches to the most important thing in everyone's life that is money.

His Rich Dad who was his best friend's father, an entrepreneur who taught him a lot about how the rich think about money was a man who started with nothing, but eventually became one of the richest men in Hawaii. Rich dad always told him to look for opportunities, be resourceful to work on those opportunities instead of sitting back and saying ‘we can't afford it', then make money work for him instead of him, working for money.

Kiyosaki himself is a self made man and a multi millionaire. He has been teaching millions about concepts relating to every aspect of money like income, wealth, debt, investments expenses, savings and so on. He defines wealth in a powerful way, according to him," Wealth is the number of days you can survive forward if you stop working tomorrow."

Kiyosaki talks of building up money making assets instead of the ones which increase your expenses. Think like a business owner or investor who shops for asset bargains, and not like consumers who shop for consumer bargains.

He says that most of the people live programmed lives, going to school, getting good grades, taking up a job, saving their income through the lifetime and then do the same with their children, encouraging them to study hard n get a good job.

So Kiyosaki strongly advocates financial education, which is not emphasized enough in our education system. Financial education is very important to get out of this circle which he calls Rat Race.

This is a time when everyone is competing with each other at different levels .People are struggling with their incomes, changing lifestyles demand more, people think more like a consumer and big businesses get all the profits, rich are getting richer every day.
Banks and other financial institutes are more than happy to give us easy money called debt like personal loans and credit cards. They lure us in every way possible but the fact is that they never want us to pay back our dues so that they get a steady source of income as interest.
So the importance of financial education increases even more, to be aware of every thing around and make the best use of the resources.
Every one who works hard is not successful, it's the smart work that counts. Smart working is what leads to financial freedom, so that you achieve what ever you wish to achieve and you can live a quality life for yourself and your loved ones without being a work horse through out life.

We have the right to get the very best out of life , its just knowledge which changes our way of thing and our attitudes .

"If you want to go somewhere, it is best to find someone who has already been there." ROBERT KIYOSAKI
