Leona Lewis has been the first U.K. female singer to top the U.S charts on over twenty years. Her single "Bleeding Love" hit number one in the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Lewis has been compared to a young Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey has taken England and America by storm. "Bleeding Love" was Britain's biggest selling single in 2007.

This twenty-two year old Londoner singer shot to fame in Britain after winning "The X-Factor" in 2006. Being the successor to Kim Wilde, who was the last British solo female singer to top the Billboards 100 charts.

Back by music mogul Clive Davis, the blooming British diva has already become an international superstar. Winning over the likes of Simon Cowell, who produced her debut album "Spirit" which was released in the U.S with expected popularity.

The album is already a top seller in the both the U.K. and the U.S. "Spirit" include a mix of mid tempo songs and ballads. Lewis mixes contemporary song hits such as "Bleeding Love" and hit ballads such as her remake of Roberta Flack's classic, ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face".  She is a very versatile artist that is just beginning her career.  It has appeared that America has caught the spirit of Leona Lewis.

Remarkable if not for the British reality show, Leona Lewis' discovery might have been overlooked. She has been named Forbes "The Years Hottest New Music Star". And continues to work on releasing new hit singles.

Lewis's discography is comprised of; Spirit (2008), Remixes: The Platinum Editions (2008), Karaoke: Leona Lewis 92008).
