Several scientific studies have confirmed that exposure to molds can trigger different health reactions from different people. The most common and mildest reactions are nasal congestion, irritation of the eyes, and slight skin itching. Exposure to higher concentrations of mold can cause fever and lung infections if unabated. Depending on the person, however, mold may trigger more severe and long-term ailments such as asthma, chronic sinusitis and others more because research has shown that mold may damage a person's immune system, thereby making the person susceptible to other diseases. Toxic molds such as Penicillum, Alternaria, Aspergillus, and Cladosporium, which can be found indoors, are the culprits.

Molds can be found both indoors and outdoors and thrive in very humid areas. Inside the home, the probability of the formation of mold is high in places such as the bathroom, the kitchen and the basement and in other poorly ventilated areas.

To reduce and inhibit the formation of the mold in the home, proper ventilation and keeping the humidity in the home between 40% to 60% is highly recommended. You can also remove mold manually through soaping or bleaching. But because exposure to molds can trigger allergic reactions even to non-allergic people, the close contact to mold that this cleaning process necessitates, can be damaging to a person's health.

To kill mold, you may want to utilize an Ozone Generator. Ozone generators release ozone, such as that found in nature, to kill molds. Ozone or O3 is in fact the most powerful disinfectant in the world without the strong smell such as that released by fluorine and chlorine. Ozone is able to kill mold through oxidation. An atom from O3 parts from the compound and attaches itself to the pollutant and oxidizes it. Once oxidized, mold is unable to reproduce. Afterwards, this O3 atom will kill the mold. However, for ozone to effectively kill mold, it must overpower it in terms of quantity. This is called "shocking" the mold in order to kill mold buildup. Through shocking, a large amount of ozone is released and dispersed in the air. High amounts of ozone can be harmful to humans, thus occupants of the room should leave the room once the ozone process has started.

An efficient ozone generator should be able to release at least 800mg of ozone but if mold formation is found in high quantities, a stronger ozone generator should be utilized otherwise, it will not be able to kill mold in your home. FM-1 and FM-2 ozone generators are the most efficient ozone machines out there. These are able to release 2000mg of ozone per hour. All you need to do is mount the unit in a lofty place such as a shelf or a ledge and turn it on high. To ensure that you are able to kill mold in hidden and hard-to-reach places, make sure that a fan is turned on. This will help in the circulation of the ozone in the whole room or area. You may do this each day once you and your family are outdoors.

Ozone Generators are your best solution for the Removal of Mold, mildew and odors. Ozone bonds at a molecular level with toxins and odors rendering them inert while leaving pure oxygen behind. For more details visit http://www.jenesco.com
