Rapid technological advancement in the last couple of decades led to many important changes in all aspects of life. Technological evolution did not neglect to touch today's readers as well. In the '90s a new concept was born. Ebooks. History of the ebooks was shaped by the time when they first appeared. In the fast paced busy world of corporate economies ebooks became a way to make reading accessible to all. Digital files were easy to get either by downloading straight from the web or by buying a copy of a CD with an electronic book, ready for you to enjoy, encrypted on it.

It became possible to be able to read a work by a favorite author without having to carry around a large volume, hard to fit and easy to misplace, or to learn something new while spending less time. PDA's and laptops, originally used by business world as a way to work on the go, began to also be utilized as a great way to store and share information. By the time the new millennium arrived digital world incorporated into itself hundreds of electronic books. Today Ebooks are a common commodity. Easy to carry PDA's are a perfect storing device for an all time favorite or a new best seller.

Adobe Acrobat was, and remains, a leading developer in Ebook culture. Adobe's PDF format files are compatible with any system out there and make transferring information easy and available to anyone who owns a PC, laptop or a PDA. You can access your stored electronic book on any computer, print it from an available machine, send it via e-mail to your friends and family and enjoy it on the go, whether on the plane, train or a luxury cruise ship.

Aside from making life easier for the reader, electronic books provided a whole new way for authors to present their work in a way that they see most fit. PDF files are a great way to exercise control over how exactly you wish your work to look. With the development of electronic books reading took up on a whole new meaning in the modern world. It is no longer something you do in a spare time, whenever you can get yourself to a library or a book store. Digital technologies make Ebooks a way to be able to read anywhere any time without going out of your way to get your hands on the latest works available.
