Achieve Better Vertical Limits in Basketball
Increasing vertical jump is a very elementary factor in dunking. This requires a lot of leg strength and agility. Since jumping is not a natural move, power plays an important factor. The more force a basketball player can apply to his feet, the higher is the vertical jump. Achieving this is not easy but can be done by regular practice and exercise. a. While standing firmly on the ground, stand on your toes, come down to the ground. Repeat the process.
b. Simply jump up and down. Do not bother about the height.
c. Find some time for jogging. Jogging not only strengthens legs but also an effective cardiovascular activity.
d. Try using a jumping rope when you find time.
e. Keep stretching your leg muscles periodically. This will relax the leg muscles and improves circulation.

Make sure that you consider good shoes a necessity in your basketball regimen. They will go a long way in improving your vertical jump limits and lending you power by way of leverage or mechanical advantage.
A good pair of shoes also does wonders for the player's confidence, thus, boosting performance through inspiration and agility. When a player does a dunk, it is very normal for people to stare at the player's shoes, so you might as well be prepared. Despite all the above tips, jumping higher while dunking a basketball will also depend on the player's mood during play. It is important that a basketball player is relaxed and in good spirits while playing a basketball game.
