Situated along the Atlantic Ocean in Palm Beach County, this city is home to 82,103 residents - with a large land area reaching 55.1 square miles. West Palm Beach is almost directly at sea level; it has an elevation of just 21 feet. This city is home to some of the best tourist spots in this area of Florida, and many people choose to vacation in Palm Beach because of its reputation for wealth and class.

Despite the reputation for wealth in this area, those relocating to West Palm Beach, Florida should note that the median yearly household income here is $36,774 - just around the average for the United States. However, sunshine days are also above the country's average in West Palm Beach.
