Does Your Style Have a Name?

After close to five years of designing jewelry, I can honestly say that I've just now began to define my own personal style. Now, it still doesn't have a name, but when I see it, I immediately know and that is as close to a definition that I can verbally give. My girl friends think that they also know, but they miss the mark on most occasions claiming an accessory item they've discovered as a "Beryl Blush Blonde inspired pair of earrings" or a "Beryl Blush Blonde inspired necklace". I usually give them a quick conspicuous eye knowing automatically that it surely may have been something I would have designed, say three years ago. I realize that my style doesn't change drastically, but it has evolved drastically. Example: I've always been a casual chic kind of girl, with lots of jeans being a must have in my closet. So, gradually I gravitated from $19 junior jeans that weren't quite long enough for my too tall frame onto $199 designer jeans that I have no problem accompanying with the highest of stilettos. I came to learn that there truly a difference in the quality of a cut and I look worth every hard earned penny spent on those ridiculously priced "must have" jeans. See, that's growth. I've always been really big on keeping up with current fashion trends, from what I see on the runways to what celebrities are wearing down the red carpet, and I'll admit today's fashion is really exciting to me. It is what has truly inspired my handcrafted jewelry designs and has really helped me develop a style of my own.

When designing pieces for my own fashion jewelry line Beryl Blush Blonde, I consciously incorporate what is considered a current trend with personal classic favorites that enable me to create fabulous pieces as if they were for my own wardrobe collection. When I started to see chunky, bright, shimmering crystals in various hues coming onto the scene with such a rage, I scowled at the idea of having to push my creations into such an ornate direction, not even considering that my own handcrafted custom pieces at 3bjewels were already considered quite elaborate. One piece of handcrafted jewelry from 3bjewels can transform an entire outfit. The women's earrings, bracelets, rings and necklaces found at 3bejewels integrate both trendy elements along with vintage inspired materials such as elaborate filigree stampings and antique brass (my favorite) to create some of the most fashionable trends seen on the hottest fashion scenes. While browsing through fashion or celebrity driven magazines I see all different types of incredible imaginable style adorned by many fashion conscious celebrities from urban rocker to contemporary mod and I think to myself, "Some of them truly have unique style. Not something I'd necessarily rock personally, but a style I can appreciate nonetheless". I then take some of the fundamentals of that style or trend and rework it into something that reveals certain elements of who I am.
