While anal intercourse seems to be the reason why people have anal warts, majority of people regardless of sexual orientation seemed to practice this sexual act. The high nerve endings in the anus made people think that having anal sex gives more pleasure that they cannot have in vaginal intercourse. The sodomistic desire has its consequences and nevertheless having anal warts can be one of them.

The virus called human papilloma virus has many strains of viruses responsible for warts in different parts of the body. Genital warts occurs in men's penis and women's vagina, plantar warts on the bottom of the feet, common warts appear in hands, face and other areas, and anal warts appear in the butt but its very close to the men's genitalia.

Anal warts are caused by one's desire to have sex with an infected person or the person with HPV has no visible warts in the anal area. However, either way anal warts can spread regardless with and without the presence of a raised bump in the anal area. It is mainly due to that fact that the human papilloma virus is highly contagious. The use of contraceptives such as condoms and vaginal dams may lessen the chances but in the overall there is no guarantee that you can be fully protected.

Once the virus gets in to the cells its stays inactive and at some point of man's life may reactivate again. That is why with anal warts it is important to seek medical help from experts and self-diagnosis is not advisable. The prevalence of anal warts usually occur in gay and homosexual communities because of the sexual practices of anal sex is very much common to them.
Treatment for anal warts is the discussed between the patient and the doctor.

The treatments depend on the severity of the warts or if the anal warts are located in the external or internal canal of the anus. Internal anal warts are very challenging and can be difficult to remove. Treatment for anal warts can done through cry therapy or freezing the wart with liquid nitrogen, laser therapy, surgery, chemical acid application, electrocautery and other medical approaches to treat the warts and the cause of the warts. After each anal warts removal, the HPV virus is still present in the body and it may come back in the future.

The only way to avoid having anal warts is refraining from having sex when visible warts are present. Sharing sex toys and gadgets should be avoided as the virus can spread this way as well. Touching anal warts is also a risk that the virus can be passed to other areas. It is important to maintain sexual hygiene and most especially the anal hygiene if you are fond of having anal sex. To avoid anal warts be proactive in your health and sexual practices. Maintain a healthy physical health and sexual lifestyle. Be realistic and mind over matter should come first when you are in situation that compromises your sexual pleasure and your health. What ever you choose is entirely up to you.
