Fishing seems easy, isn't it? But do you really know fishing? Reality tells us that in fishing, you need a small hook with a small split, a bobber above the hook with the bait, a wiggler or a wax worm on it. Then you throw out your bait into the water and wait till something bites the bait. And when it does, you raise your bobber and there you see your catch. That's how simple it all sounds.

Other than fishing with a rod, fishing may also be done using a mechanical device called a fishing reel. There are three types of fishing reel depending on its speed and ball bearings.

 Spin Cast Reel. It is the easiest and the cheapest reel to use. It is for beginners. The release of the line is controlled by a pushbutton where the line comes out from the reel. This is used to hook small- to medium-size fish. This uses a spinning rod where the reel is attached on its under side.

 Spinning Reel. This employs more difficult techniques than the spin cast reel. It has different sizes and models depending on the size of its tackle. This is used for longer casting ranges. This type has limber tackles which makes spinning exceptional. This has a longer line than that of the spin cast reel and makes for a more finesse fishing.

 Bait Casting Reel. The bait casting reel is for fishermen with proficient skills. Casting it is more difficult than the other types but definitely can take a lot of abuse. It can handle a heavy line of fishing and a bigger catch. It is controlled by a cast using the thumb. Accuracy and coordination is a must. Using it the first to third time, will experience backlashes, but once you get the hang of it, backlash is on a more calculated risk.

Baitrunner for Shimano Reels

Baitrunners for Shimano reels matches all fishing styles. Fishing aficionados should get their very own baitrunner. It has a Shimano Balance Lock (SBL) that eliminates the free rolling of the spool in the reel handle, forward and back. Quivertips or bobbins are immediately locked in with exact precision. In this case, lesser fish are knocked on the strike because its smooth drag kicks in as soon as the hook is positioned.

The Shimano baitrunner is the most popular fishing reel. It is excellent for wrestling a fish, and it keeps you away from the trouble of regulating the cast. For deep-sea fishermen, the baitrunner is a charm when it comes to handling the heave. Sometimes, we also get in trouble putting the bait where they are to be positioned. The baitrunner facilitates spool thumbing, making it easy for you to place the lure into position and exactly where you want it to be. Nothing really beats the baitrunner for Shimano reels.

The baitrunner is a fisherman's dream. Manufactured and made by Shimano, several kinds are widely available at Sea Isle Tackle. For the avid fisherman in you, hook out a baitrunner now and make them a part of your collection.
