When floor fountains were first introduced they were very expensive and the number of styles and materials used was limited. Over time the designs have exploded and there are now so many varieties too choose from the possibilities are almost endless. People are now adding them into all sorts of rooms and areas of the home and office and adding a real creative flare to their interior design. It really does depend on your personal taste to which type of floor fountain you would like in your home and whether it would fit well into your existing interior look. There are some really retro designs or there are modern day contemporary versions, obviously if you add a retro look fountain into a modern room it may not look great. Try to visualise the floor fountains when you are searching for one and imagine how it will look and where you would like to add it. The beauty of them is if when you purchase one and it does not look so good in your chosen area then you can move it very easily to a new position in the room or indeed anywhere else in the home. There are no plumbing issues and they are not attached to the wall or the floor in anyway so you have a very mobile and flexible way to change the look and feel of a room or an area as and when you please.

For most people the main priority is to add a floor fountain purely for decorative purposes, there are however more benefits to them than just looking great. There has been some debate over the years about how they can help to improve the wellbeing of people and how they can enter the subconscious mind and help to provide relaxation and therapy. There is no formal documentation to support this but it is a well known fact that flowing water has relaxation qualities and hydration into the air will help to purify and remove dirt and dust particles. A cleaner air quality will undoubtedly lead to a healthy environment and improve the living space for any occupants.

Floor fountains are not purely limited to the indoor of homes and there are versions which can be purchased for outdoors too. Often they were referred to as bird baths because the birds and wildlife use them to prune and clean themselves, in fact if you like nature and want to add something to your garden to encourage more wildlife a floor fountain is one way to do this. Floor fountains are flexible, adaptable, functional and decorative and are just one way you can really help to improve or enhance your home or garden.
