If you have been injured in an accident because of the negligence or deliberate act of someone else, there is some great news for you. Did you know that there are, today, many UK lawyers who are offering their legal services on a "No Win No Fee" basis? What this means is that, you can now go ahead and file your lawsuit to seek justice - there is no need to worry about paying the legal fees. If you win the lawsuit, the offending party will pay you compensation, and you can pay your lawyer a portion of this. And if you do not win the lawsuit, then there is nothing to be paid. So there's no financial liability for you.

This arrangement has become possible because of the Conditional Fee Agreements of 1995. The agreement works out very well for the solicitor as well because if you win the lawsuit the person is paid out of compensation money. And if you lose the case, the solicitor is covered by legal insurance.

Claim Compensation Only When The Pain And Loss Is Substantial

However, you should remember to carefully consider your case before filing that lawsuit. For example, if the injury is inconsequential and can heal quickly, it would probably be better not to file that case. It will be very difficult to find UK lawyers who will agree to take such a case because it might be dismissed quickly. On the other hand, if the injury is grave and it has caused a lot of pain, suffering, and financial loss, you can go ahead and file a case.

If your injury is not that serious, the court may also advise you and the offending party to settle the matter within yourself. When this happens, the pressure slackens considerably on the defendant and UK lawyers might not be able to get you adequate compensation. Of course in such a case, you might not also be able to make an adequate payment to the legal professional.

But, since you have received some compensation, the solicitor cannot be paid by legal insurance as well. They are aware of this, and are, therefore, unwilling to accept weak cases where the injury or financial loss was not substantial.

There are of course highly experienced injury lawyers, but even if you are working with the best, it is no guarantee that you will win the lawsuit. You will still need to furnish the medical evidence and prove the extent of the injury and how it caused you pain and financial loss. And not just that, the offense of the defendant must also be proved in a court of law. The offending party may blame you partially for the accident, and the person you have chosen from the many UK lawyers must be able to protect you.

So having considered all this, if you believe that you have a case in hand, you should go ahead by all means. The "No Win No Fee" system works very well for UK lawyers and it can also work for you. It was introduced to make litigation accessible to every section of society, particularly those who could not seek legal action because of the high lawyer fees.
