One great success secret is that you realize and act on the fact that you can truly become an outstanding success. Then never be easily satisfied with your achievements; in other words, you should develop inspirational dissatisfaction.

Next remove the word impossible from your vocabulary. It is true: "'Impossible' is a word to be found only in the dictionary of fools"! Yes hold in your mind the belief that the word impossible was not meant for you. Then build your self-confidence and go at your goals with faith that you will achieve them.

If you do this you will marvel at the level of success you will achieve. As Henry David Thoreau rightly observed: if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams and endeavors to live a life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours!

Now make it a habit to keep your goals always in mind. Write them down and keep them where you will see them often. Keep working with persistence, for that is the one key principle that is totally indispensable to outstanding achievement.

If you have suffered defeat in the past, then know that a man who spent more than 25 years studying the causes of success and failure made this astounding conclusion. Dr. Napoleon Hill writes: "Accurate analysis of more than one thousand men and women in the upper brackets of success, in a variety of callings, revealed the outstanding fact that in each individual the success attained is in almost exact proportion to the adversities and defeats which had been met with and overcome."

When you encounter defeat, do not accept it as failure, learn from the experience and move on with renewed faith and confidence toward your goals. You will be tested in many ways when you aim high. But when you stand up to the challenges, you will be a winner, and truly "a quitter never wins and a winner never quits." It is at the tough junctures, when you are tested with difficulties and temporary defeat that "the boys are separated from the men"!

So I give to you the inspirational words of D'Alembert: "Go on, sir, go on! The difficulties you meet will resolve themselves as you advance. Proceed and the light will dawn, and shine with increasing clearness on your path."
