This article is a quick introduction to the growing phenomenon of subliminal learning. This subject has been the basis for many episodes of TV shows, it has featured in movies, and is slowly becoming more and more known in society. People are recognizing more and more, perhaps by word of mouth, that is is a viable form of therapy, of personal development, and that it can help you reach your goals

The main benefit of subliminal learning is that it is a more effortless type of learning. As a quick definition subliminal messaging means that you won't hear the information - it is passed to your brain subliminally - i.e. the voices and suggestions are all above the normal levels of human hearing - but importantly, not quite high enough for your subconscious mind to understand them still.

They have really risen in popularity as they allow people to play the album while they sleep (sleep learning) and improve areas of their life. It isn't magic, and it isn't nearly as instant as you see in the movies, but it will gradually sink into your unconscious mind and start making changes to your thoughts, self beliefs, and even your physical body or behavior.

It may sound too good to be true, and if you believe the movies then that is. It basically works by supporting your goals and efforts. So for example, if you want to learn Italian and you listen to a subliminal album in your sleep then the next day you won't wake up magically speaking Italian - surprise surprise.

However, if you are studying or taking classes then it will enhance your studies - help you to take information in quicker, help you to process it, store it efficiently, and aid your recall when you need it. Basically subliminal messages support your goals rather than producing results on their own. They can give you an advantage, a headstart, or the edge over your competition.
