Would you like to get rid of cellulite? It seems 99% of females would answer with a resounding "yes", even supermodels. In the February 5, 2007 edition of People magazine, Tyra Banks even admits that she would like to get rid of cellulite. She is quoted as saying, "I think every woman would want to do something about their cellulite". According to page 88 of the article, Tyra admits that if someone came up for a miracle cure for cellulite she'd be first in line. Unfortunately for Tyra and the rest of us, there are no miracle cures but there are some ways that the appearance of cellulite can be reduced. The methods to get rid of cellulite include diet, vitamins, exercises and creams.

The reasoning behind including or excluding certain foods from your diet in order to reduce cellulite is that certain foods minimize the amount of toxins and waste that your body produces. You should generally avoid fatty and highly refined foods. Try to eat more fruits, vegetables, and foods high in fiber as these will help flush toxics out of your system. Drinking water is also vital for flushing out toxics.

Making sure that your diet includes certain vitamins that are essential to keeping your skin healthy can also help get rid of cellulite. If you skin is healthier and thicker, then the trapped bands of fat underneath will not be as visible. Vitamins recommended for healthy skin include lecithin, omega 3, and Vitamins A, E, C and D. If you are not getting these vitamins in your diet, taking supplements may help in your battle against cellulite.

When it comes to the effect of exercise on cellulite, a combination of aerobic and weight training seems to work best. Aerobic activity helps reduce fat. Since cellulite is trapped fat, an overall reduction of fat will also help reduce cellulite. Weight training helps you to speed up your metabolism, burn more calories and to build muscle.

Using cellulite reduction creams and lotions is another way to try to combat cellulite. This usually results in a short term improvement. Creams usually work by plumping up and hydrating the skin so that the trapped fat underneath is not as visible. Most creams have to be applied at least once a day and sometimes twice depending on the product and must be used at least 8-12 weeks for best results. Typically when their use is discontinued, the skin goes back to its previous appearance.

Until that miracle cure that we all want is invented, using these methods in combination with each other is the best plan of attack to get rid of cellulite.
