Acne Curing Techniques - Natural Methods

This writeup suggests yet more ways of clearing your acne for good. Water helps flush the body of toxins and transport nutrients around the body. Drinking water puts less strain on the skin organ to flush out toxins. The recommended amount of water you should drink is half your body weight in ounces of water (a 150 lb person should drink 75 ounces per day). While water alone will not eliminate your acne, it will greatly assist your skin in remainig healthy.

Pore Cleaner Exfoliate Mask

Mix baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and water into a paste and apply to your skin. Let it dry on the skin then wash off with cool water. Louise Griffin has spent years of research to develop a step by step guide on how to clear your acne quickly and permanently.

This is another natural method for helping your acne. It is a Lemon/Egg Mask (for oily skin). You need to squeeze half a lemon with one beaten egg white. Apply to your face avoiding the area around the eyes. Leave on your face overnight or during the day for 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. Then follow this citrus astringent. Mix 3 tsp of lemon extract, one juice of lime and 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol. Make sure the ingredients are mixed well. Transfer the bowl to a fridge and cool. Apply to the face and the benefits you get are tightened pores, refreshing skin and the removal of oils from the skin.

Another little trick is to use a herbal facial mask (this again cleans and tightens pores). By using 1 tbs honey, 1 egg, 1 tsp crumbled dried chamomile flowres and 1 tsp fresh mint - mix together thoroughly and apply to the skin. Let it dry on your skin for approx 15 minutes and then rinse off with warm water.

Did you know that herbs can be one of your best natural acne treatments. Do not look for over night results however. Herbs gently work and build up in the system over time. Allow 3-4 weeks consistently before examining the effectiveness of the treatment. Take prescribed dosages as detailed by the label. Herbal supplements to include in your diet to balance the hormones are saw palmetto berry extract for boys and chaste tree berry extract for girls. Echinacea can be used to boost the immune system to fight against acne causing bacteria. Some other herbs that may help include: alfalfa, burdock root, cayenne, chaparral, dandelion root. The herbal combinations AKN and BFC, red also shown varies results in some individuals. The recommended dosage is 900 mg per day.

Now for blackheads and blemishes - heat honey slightly and apply to face, tap face gently with your fingers. Wash off honey with warm water then rinse with cool water. A bit of wheat germ may be added to the honey before applying.

For blackheads - to loosen and cleanse the blackheads, make a paste of oatmeal, honey and egg white. Apply to the skin, massage for 10 minutes then rinse with warm water.
