Fundraising with Bricks Made Easy!
It's not that hard -
1. Decide how much to charge for each brick. People donate that amount to participate in a moving fundraising effort that leaves a lasting legacy. The difference between that price and the cost of the brick is the profit to the charity.
2. Decide where to put the brick fundraising project. Bricks can be placed on sidewalks, walkways, terraces, patios, plazas, indoor or outdoor walls, entryways, foyers, and just about any surface.
3. Fundraising projects vary between basic and fabulous. A wonderful fundraising effort includes adding a school or organization mascot or logo in a stunning piece of brick sculpture that makes a moving entrance to a school or organization. Larry Cannon A brick fundraising specialist is also a brick artist who can sculpt mascots and logos in brick, granite or tile for a moving fundraiser. This has the advantage of creating a truly memorable fundraiser that increases donor commitment and loyalty.
Check out the website for information on a 1992 high school fundraiser that solved several problems at once - it raised $100,000 for school construction during an economic downturn, gave the school a sturdy retaining wall, and created a beautiful entrance to the school property with the school logo engraved in brick. All this for no cost to the school! An unexpected by-product was the subsequent emotional commitment and bonding of the alumni and donors to the school. The wall has been up for many years, but alumni often stop by to see 'their' brick.
A beautiful, sculpted wall cost nothing, raised over $100,000 and has bonded the community, students and alumni together and to the school and it's place in their lives.
