Dior, Versace, Prada, Gucci, Armani, Fendi, Hogan, Raffaello, Diesel, Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry, Tod's, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, Gap, Victoria's Secret, Guess, Lacoste, Channel, Coach, and the list goes on and on. These are just some of the top brand names in the fashion world.

Their products that range from handbag to sunglasses, from shoes to caps, from clothes to various accessories are both known worldwide for their brands and their higher than ordinary retail price. These major brands pay a lot to create the highest quality products possible, that's why you have to shell out a little more money to buy one of your own. Nevertheless, purchasing designer clothing and shoes should be worth every cent of it.

Designer clothes and shoes are more durable for quite obvious reason. They are made from quality raw materials and assembled using only hi-tech equipment and/or skilled workers or craftsmen. From their conception until their creation, designer apparel passed through strict and high standards of quality.

Manufacturers pay attention to every detail of their product. Every button, stitch, beads, etc. are checked and re-checked before the final product is packed for distribution to the public consumer. These major brands have a name to protect. In a world where competition is cutthroat, just a small mishap can force your consumers to go to your competition which can lead to losses amounting to millions of dollars.

With this in mind, it is only normal to be a little paranoid on the quality of your products. Meanwhile for the consumers, this level of competition is good. With every purchase, they know that they will be paying for comfort, durability, and quality as well as excellent after sales services.

However, even if comfort and quality are very enticing benefits from designer clothes and shoes, a lot of consumers still prefer buying knock-offs and imitations. At the end of the day, reality and practicality still prevails. Major brands have to accept that only a select few can afford their products. A lot of consumers are not willing to spend their hard earned cash on designer clothing and shoes.

These consumers would rather endure any itching caused by low quality cloth used for their fake designer clothes. They would repair their only pair of designer shoe knock-off and would continue to do so even pass the point that it is almost impossible to patch up. The harsh reality: designer clothes and shoes remain to be exclusive to those who have and fakes and imitations are for those who have none. Sometimes the world is indeed unfair.
