Looking for ways to pry yourself from the couldron of emptiness? If your article writing is going at a pace you are happy with, then disregard this article. Go back to your laptop and consider yourself one of the lucky ones. For the rest of you, the masses that is, read on because what follows is some of the best advice a writer can follow.

First of all, if you're accustomed to writing, these ideas should come as no surprise. But if you're just starting, then you're familiar with the frustration that must be yours when you've run down to your last article and can't possibly think of another concept to write about. This is a scary notion, and it can be remedied if you are prepared.

Next, understand that there are so many professional writers that have developed strategies for themselves so effective that they can write literally hundreds of articles on the same subject. As impossible as it seems, search out some of the existing work on the article websites and you'll see it for yourself! Some of these people are amazing at what they do, but that is the point. You are also capable of crank out some solid pieces if you follow the pros.

Here are some of the best ideas for writing great articles:

1. List tips on how to get things done. Everyone has knowledge of how to do something. It can be the shortest route downtown or homemade dog biscuits, but you have an encyclopedia in you just dying to get out.

2. Write a review of a product or service, preferably one that is related to the product you're selling.

3. Tell an entertaining story. Perhaps an autobiographical tale about an experience that is personal and moving to you. Obviously, word it so it's as exciting for the reader as it was for you.

4. Write something inspirational. Everyone likes to read an uplifting story, we are better people for having read such a tale! Get your creative juices tapped and be sensational!

5. Write about a growing trend you are seeing that is related to your product. There are many websites available that provide current information at your disposal.

6. Write a top-ten article (like this one) about something in your chosen market. People online tend to gravitate toward article titles with numbers because they are the most concisely informative.

7. Read up on what your competition is doing and write an article on your findings. This not only provides you with an idea, it will keep you ahead of the curve with your business itself!

8. Write an opinion piece that's interesting. Don't be afraid to be mildly controversial, either. People love an article that they can provide an opinion on, even if it's a strong opinion.

9. Write a testimony about a competing product in your field. You can do research on a competitor's product and write a report comparing the virtues of your product versus theirs.

10. Scour the web forums and other blogs for important or popular topics. These can be a goldmine of up to the second information. You'll find that people are not shy about expressing what they want, which is what YOU want.

Coming up with great ideas for writing is not difficult at all. I read some of the articles published online right now and I find so many quality writers who are plying their trade. It's ok to model yourself against these talented writers, but don't plagiarize. Examine concepts and ideas that perhaps you haven't thought of and collect them. Learn what flow and rhythm are to a piece and apply them to your work.

If you apply these techniques, you will undoubtedly keep churning out quality material for your readers. This will instill a sense of trust, and that translates to earning their business. Remember to keep yourself on the cutting edge and please don't assume everybody else has all the answers! Sometimes the best ideas come from the writer's willful creativity alone. That will always be the most gratifying work you will produce.
