Did you know that that holiday of Father's Day is when the most collect telephone calls are made than any other day of the year? Dad often ends up paying for a lot, but this year treat him to a special Father's Day gift that will make him happy. Chocolate is every eater's dream gift, so be sure to include this delicious sweet in your gift for Dad. Gourmet Father's Day gift baskets are available that contain great chocolate treats that your father is sure to enjoy.
There are three major types of chocolate: dark, milk, and white. Dark chocolate is made without any milk added to it. It has to have at least 15 percent chocolate liquor in it to qualify as dark chocolate, although European dark chocolate must have 35 percent. Milk chocolate is made with milk added to the chocolate. White chocolate is not really chocolate at all, but a sweet that has cocoa butter as its prime ingredient, with no cocoa solids. Some fathers like all three types of chocolate, while others prefer one over the others. You likely know which one or ones your father enjoys, and so that will be the focus of your Father's Day gift baskets.
Chocolate-covered pretzels offer a bit of sweet and tangy with every bite. These delicious pretzels are available covered in dark, milk or white chocolates, so there will be something sure to please dear old Dad in this assortment.
Beautiful cookies make a great addition for your father's wonderful gift basket. Chocolate cookies would be perfect for a chocolate-themed gift for him. Be sure to include several because they won't last long once he tastes the first one.
Nonpareils make another fantastic addition to your Dad's gift basket. Nonpareils can refer to a flat round dark chocolate wafer, which are topped with the nonpareils, or tiny sugar balls or sprinkles that are used to decorate cupcakes and other foods with icing. Nonpareils taste wonderful, and their decorative touch will make your father's gift basket very special.
Other foods become divine when they are covered with chocolate. You can only improve a raisin or a cashew or peanut by covering it with chocolate. Chocolate-covered raisins or nuts make great snacks, and your father won't be able to stop with just one or two, because they are so tasty.
Once you have a great selection of chocolates in your gift basket, you won't hardly need anything else. But since this is a gift, why not gild the lily and add other little gifts that your father might enjoy, related to a hobby or a sport in which he participates. These customized gift baskets will show your father that you care.
