The gift of laughter is always appropriate for loved ones and this season's new DVDs are loaded with laughs.

Which DVD titles are most likely to hit America's funny bone? Here's a checklist, from Fox Home Entertainment, to choose from:

For The Family

It takes a feature-length film to fully capture Homer Simpson's unique qualities, and "The Simpsons Movie" does it. "One of the best movies of the year" (Washington Post), "The Simpsons Movie" stars Dan Castellaneta and Julie Kavner and finds the fate of Springfield-the suburban setting that has been home to "The Simpsons" clan for more than 18 years-hanging in the balance when Homer and his new pet pig inadvertently cause a major ecological disaster in their hometown.

To Brighten Up The Holidays

There glows the neighborhood. The holiday spirit gets competitive in "Deck The Halls," the hilarious contemporary family tale pitting two suburban families against each other for the grudge match of the season. Starring comedic veterans Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick, "Deck The Halls" is a jovial keeping-up- with-the-Joneses tale-with a holiday twist the whole family can enjoy. A festive addition to any holiday movie collection.

For The Kids

Snow is definitely in the air-or on the airwaves, at least-in an enchanting collection of six winter-themed adventures featuring preschool favorites Barney, Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine, Kipper and Fireman Sam, along with a brand-new friend, Pingu the Penguin-making his North American debut on DVD-in "Winter Wonderland." Join in on the fun and laughs with rich characters that become lifelong friends to children.

Jolly And Heartwarming

Two dads, one toy, no prisoners: "Jingle All The Way," featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger and comedian Sinbad, is a jolly and heartwarming family story about two rivaling fathers desperate to buy the must-have Christmas toy, Turbo Man, during a frantic, last-minute shopping spree on Christmas Eve.
