How to Write a Traffic Pulling Ad for Adwords

When writing ads for Google Adwords you want a title that grabs attention. You should put your keyword in the title. I also advise putting the keyword in the body and if possible in the display URL. Your keyword will be displayed in bold in the sponsored results. Your bolded keywords in the ad will catch the eye of the searcher.

Make sure that your ad is focused on benefits and everything you promise in an ad should be backed up on your landing page. If you promise something in your ad and don't deliver you will lose credibility with your visitors and that is just a waste of time.

Use a call to action phrase such as:

Google does not allow you to use Click Here as a call to action phrase. Google doesn't allow you to use superlatives in your ad description unless your claim is backed by a third party. Example of superlatives:

Best
Cheapest
#1
Number One

Try to make your Ad engage the visitor and give him a reason to want to click your ad instead of one of the competing ads.

Here is an example of a good ad that will get the visitor's attention. If the searcher typed "pay day loan" into his browser:

The above ad would pull very well at Google. Our keyword is in the title, body, and display URL. We have promised a speedy service and used a strong call to action phrase.
