Designers like Prada, Coach, Fendi and Dolce and Gabbana all fight for space on the red carpet, very responsible for giving birth to fashion victims. A Coach Handbag can fetch you more than $900 and a Prada handbag costs more than $1000, which they don’t mind laying down the money for. Fashion victims can not only look unbelievably good- they can also look horrible and idiotic
Take it from the movie, Zoolander, where Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson portray themselves as Super Male Models, obsessed about looking good and allow fashion to control everything they do. For example, when “Derek,” Ben Stiller’s character is asked to model for a coveted modeling agency, the agencies current fashion trend represents a “homeless” look, proving that it doesn’t matter if the outfits are truly horrifying, fashion victims will where wear whatever the name brand says they should wear.
Not all fashion designers create horrific outfits or handbags either. Fashion wouldn’t be slightly trendy if there were not some pieces of fashion that were not just gorgeous. Pick up any Vogue or GQ magazine and you will see what I mean, tons of ads with glossy images of models in strange positions-finding the best possible pose to show off their luxury wallets or watch.
