Saying a daily affirmation will help change the way you think about food and how much you eat. My intention by using 'affirmations" is that you will actually become curious about the concept, repeating them over and over and allowing yourself to integrate them within your unconscious mind. When this occurs, this concept will actually become one of your core beliefs. Beliefs are powerful and they dictate the way you live, your choices and your destiny. Start to repeat an affirmation eat day and replace old negative beliefs like "I have to clean my plate" with new empowering beliefs like "I have a healthy relationship with food, I eat only enough to satisfy my physical hunger."

Here are eight affirmations that once you integrate them into your core believe system will completely change your life. Repeat them daily at least three times throughout the day.

1. "My stomach is the size of my fist, I only need a small portion of food to satisfy it."

2. "I can eat what I want, when I want, provided I only eat when I am hungry and STOP the moment I am satisfied"

3. "My body will burn the food I eat for fuel."

4. "If I eat until I am full I have eaten too much."

5. "My body is a fat burning machine."

6. "When I dine out I have two meals for the price of one! I can share with a friend or take half home for another meal."

7. "The less food, I eat the better I feel."

8. "Food is available 24 hours per day 7 days per week."
