Winnie the Pooh and Friends on the Law of Attraction

As a child, I always loved watching Winnie the Pooh. I used to wake up at 6 am on Sunday mornings to catch his adventures on the local Disney channel. His love for honey fascinated me, as did his entourage of interesting buddies. Looking back upon this show, I realize that each character personified an aspect of the law of attraction. Each character taught a wonderful lesson about living life the hard way-or the easy way.

Winnie the Pooh-The ultimate cuddle bear, and also the ultimate example in allowing. Winnie the Pooh never bothered trying too hard. He believed that honey was plentiful and that things were always well. He seemed to never notice the storm coming or worry about dirtying his home. He lived for the honey, and that is exactly what he got!

Tigger-Tigger (T-i-with a double ggerr) will always have a special place in my heart. He personified 'bounceability' as one of my fellow coach friends calls it. Nothing got tigger down. Absolutely nothing. No matter how things went for him, he saw it in his favor. His optimism, his descriptive visualizations, his bounceability could easily make him the poster boy for the law of attraction.

Piglet- Ah, piglet-the worrier, the worker-bee. He was quite the opposite of Tigger. He worried his little head about everything, and hence he got more stuff to worry about. Piglet personified worry and fear-the very feelings that keep things from truly happening. Luckily he had a friend like Pooh who calmed his fears and allowed him to feel good.

Eeyore-I think Eeyore taught me more about being a victim than any book every could. He didn't see himself as gloomy, he just didn't expect much out of life. Even when things were fantastic in the hundred acre woods, Eeyore would look for (and often find) things to be sad about. His favorite phrase was "It's not much of a tail, but I'm sort of attached to it." This is the attitude so many of us hold towards the things that just aren't good for us. We know they aren't doing much for us, but we insist on the attachment. Be the anti-Eeyore-let go off the tail!

Rabbit-The hard-worker who can't sit still. Rabbit could never truly relax. He never had any fun. I always felt bad for rabbit. He didn't play with the others, he didn't like honey, and he was forever chasing animals away from his carrots. And since he focused so much on work, that is what he attracted most. Rabbit didn't understand that he was inherently worthy, and that as a toy he was supposed to be having fun!

Owl-Owl was the intelligent one. He had read all the Abraham-hicks books and watched The Secret a million times. He sure knew his stuff! However, Owl never could put it into action like Pooh could. I wish Owl had come to me to be coached! He would have been a fun client.

Christopher Robbin- Christopher Robbin was the source, the universe, God, of all the hundred acre woods. Christopher Robbin used his imagination to create the hundred acre woods. He was a master at visualization. As the source, he believed that all his toys deserved the best. He provided them with honey, friends, and plenty of space to play and grow. He loved them all, even if they didn't always realize it.

If life is the hundred acre woods, which character are you? If you are Piglet, Owl, Eeyore, or Rabbit-please drop me an email.
