Mon.itor.Us conducted research on Internet Service Providers popularity, performance and uptime. About 30,000 websites' monitoring data was analyzed and most popular 60 ISPs were ranked based on the aggregated statistical data.

Choosing high quality and reliable hosting provider is a tedious process. Companies looking for good hosting solutions may use websites that provide ISP comparisons by prices and packages, listings of top hosting providers by popularity, different reviews; all of which are customer opinions to assist other customers in finding best hosting providers.

Mon.itor.Us by providing free website and server monitoring service collects immense amount of data that can be used for analytical purposes. Utilizing the real time data, Mon.itor.US produced a summery report that shows performance and uptime of ISPs. The information can serve as an alternative source for making decision about which ISP to choose. To produce the report around 30,000 websites monitored in May were grouped by service providers. 60 largest providers were selected for analysis of the aggregated uptime as well as the average performance of their hosted websites. Although individual site's availability and speed depends on many factors like hardware, application architecture, OS etc., statistically the aggregated uptime objectively demonstrates ISP's service quality and connectivity.

The ISPs were ranked by their popularity, performance, and availability. The research published the list of top 20 ISPs in each category. The most popular providers were New Dream Network, The Planet, and 1&1 Internet, followed by Everyones Internet and GoDaddy.

1&1 Internet showed highest uptime results in May, CrystalTech was the second, followed by Dedibox and MediaTemple.

The following ISPs showed best results in both uptime and speed: Hetzner Online, LeaseWeb, ProXad, Google Inc, NTT America, Inc, Rackspace.com, Ltd, Interland, Inc, Technorail, California Regional Intranet, Jaguar Technologies.

According to Hovhanness Avoyan, the CEO and Founder of Mon.itor.Us, they will continue publishing such kinds of reports periodically:
