The Search Engine that Learns: www.lookzen.com

By Gabriel Gervelis

Why do people search? To find what they are looking for. But have you ever conducted a Google (or Yahoo) search and have had to sift through un-relevant results to find what you are looking for? I know I have.

Google, Yahoo, MSN, and other search engines place any type of website that fits the bill on their result listing. I would like to reintroduce the concept of sponsored search. Sponsored listings appear when advertisers pay to place their websites in front of keyword searches. Often' advertisers will pay a pre-determined amount of money every time someone clicks on there ad.

Take the concept of the Lending Tree mortgage company. Their tag line is "the more banks compete, the more you win" and it's true. Sponsored search engines follow the same concept.

Online merchants know that if they want to attract new online shoppers they have to supply easy to use websites, a secure site, easy check out process, competitive pricing, and find a way to be in front of their target market. What better way to find what you are shopping for then to sift through online merchants that are paying to be in front of you and your keyword search?

Dare to compare:

www.lookzen.com is an example of a 100% sponsored search engine. Let's take the keyword Prada handbags. Conduct a search on a major search engine like Google or Yahoo, and then conduct the same search on www.lookzen.com, a 100% sponsored search engine. You decide what engine best suits your search.

The search engine that learns.

www.lookzen.com is not only a 100% sponsored search engine, it is a self optimizing learning search engine. After visiting the website you will notice that there are "popular" search terms or keyword listings on the home page. Every day, based on what searches were made during the previous day, the engine resets itself to display the most common searches.
