Big Spenders' Gift is Lavish Yuletide Ride
According to Autodata Corp, auto statistics shows that luxury vehicles sales is down by 3.3 percent though November this year compared to same period last year. However, luxury brands like DaimlerChrysler AG's Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar and BMW, have sold well.
Moreover, December is considered one of the most promotional months in the auto calendar. This is because big spenders consider luxury automobiles lavish gift for the Yuletide season. In a survey made by Lexus dealers in the United States, it was found out that 10 percent of sales were for a gift.
Auto dealers revealed that at least one or two of their customers every December intends to surprise a significant person with a new set of wheels. Luxury cars are decorated with a giant bow to make that person stunned with joy. Great spenders are not bothered by the fact that they are shelling out tens of thousands on a luxury vehicle just to make significant persons blissful.
According to Tim Smith, owner of Bob Smith BMW, a dealership near Los Angeles, "It is similar to giving a puppy as a gift. Dogs are really neat, but if you bring the dog home and your wife's not ready for a dog, you and the dog might be walking out the other door, tail between your legs." This holiday season BMW vehicles are very much in-demand for gift-giving. This is because the automaker is famed for its reliable auto parts BMW creating a very loyal clientele. These vehicles also suggest spirited and lavish driving.
One of the lucky persons this season is Jane David who received a Jaguar S-Type luxury sedan from her New York stockbroker husband. According to David it is the best Hanukkah present she have ever gotten. S-Type, a midsize executive car, was introduced by Jaguar for the 2000 model year. The executive car is deemed a revival of the S-Type introduced in 1964. The production of the car will be stopped next year. However, the automaker will replace it with the XF, which will still be using striking Jaguar auto body parts.
Another fortunate woman is Paula Scarpello who was given a new Mercedes-Benz convertible by her 59-year-old chiropractor husband. She recalled her husband saying Santa had another gift waiting outside so in pajamas Mrs. Scarpello went out to find the convertible with a giant red bow on it. She recalled saying, "That's a fun thing? That's a big fun thing."
Mercedes-Benz, owned by DaimlerChrysler AG, is famed for its luxury vehicle lineup. The vehicles boat their sophisticated Mercedes-Benz OEM auto parts that satisfy aficionados and regular customers.
