Research indicates that many people go through life without ever identifying what they want to accomplish, where they want to go and who they want to become. Goal setting and planning helps you manage your life as well as time; defining your purpose, establishing you values and developing success attitudes will give your life renewed meaning and a sense of direction. Establishing and working towards goals, will add excitement and meaning to everything you do. A clear vision of what you want your future to look like, will dramatically affect the quality and fullness of your life. A study done at the University of Chicago on peak performance, indicated that a common trait of all successful people in all walks of life was that they all had clear goals which gave them focus and a source of fulfillment and satisfaction.

Goal Setting, Simple Questions Powerful Results

Whether your goals, are great or small, you can realize more of them more often by first addressing these simple questions.

What do I want to do?How can I accomplish my goal? What do I need to do to get started? What obstacles must I overcome along the way? How will I overcome them?

With established goals, daily decisions become easier to make; being goal directed becomes a way of life, giving you a sense of control over your future. People who have no goals have no direction; they are always moving but never arriving or achieving. In the absence of clearly defined goals everything becomes a crisis, everyone becomes a taskmaster and everything becomes urgent.
