The all-new, next-generation Mazda6 will officially debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show this fall. And European sales should then follow immediately in November.

What it looks like?---Equipped with performance quality Mazda valve cover gasket, the new Mazda6 will be based on the new Ford Mondeo platform. Nonetheless, it will still emphasize the characteristics of sports driving. There has been no news about which body styles will make the go to the new platform or whether a new Mazdaspeed6 will appear based on this next generation or not.

The new Mazda6 will come bigger than the previous model. Rumored to be sitting on the CD3-2 platform found under the Ford Mondeo and Volvo S80, the car induces the expectations that there will be some version of Ford's 3.5L Cyclone V6 in top models, as well as a 2.5L four cylinder in the base 6.

Automobile analysts expect that the public will see similar sedan, hatchback, and wagon versions of the new 6 return to showrooms when the model unveils next year as a 2009 model. A hybrid version is also under a talk.

The new platform could not come at a better time for the Japanese car maker. Every competing car exceeded this mid-size Mazda in power, size and driving dynamics, even though the Mazda6 has been offering an exciting ride.

The exterior offers pretty yet heavy camouflage and few more glimpses of exposed sheet metal. The spies at Car Connection said that they expect familial styling with the prominent front fenders of the Mazda RX-8, MX-5, CX-7 and CX-9.

Based on sales, the Mazda6 has never sold in the same volumes as the Camry/Accord. However, it still manages to find buyers who appreciate the Zoom Zoom experience, even in a family vehicle.

About Mazda

In the US, top selling Mazda cars include the crossover, the CX-7 or CX-9 pick ups, and the Mazda5 compact minivan. In its country (Japan), however, the MPV lives on, and it is a lot nicer than any of the editions that the US ever had.

Mazda recently announced the availability of -- long JDM name alert -- the MPV Bright Stylish M'z Custom, which is powered by the auto maker's 2.3L four cylinder driving, either the front wheels (4-speed auto) or all four wheels (6-speed auto). It new trim level augments some shine in the form of a chromed grille as well as in the added bright work all around. It also has some extra skirting for a sportier look. Interior enhancements count features like the extra leather trim, while the exterior can be finished in either Pearl White Mica or one of two darker shades that include the black (or dark gray) metal flake.

Behind this creation is the Mazda E&T (Engineering and Technology). Pricing is set at ¥2,870,000 for the 2WD version and ¥3,140,000 for the AWD edition.
