About our Imperfections

Those who are cruel

are wounded.

Those who are possessive

or fearful,

those who are greedy,

or abusive or irresponsible,

suffer debilitating wounds

from too little

or too unwise

love.

To find fault is easy; To do better may be difficult--Plutarch

We are not born kind or cruel, aggressive or irresponsible. Each child even within one family experiences a different set of realities according to his individual nature and his individual experiences both at home and in the outside world. Only we ourselves can assess what it has been, for better or worse, that has shaped us into the person that we have ultimately become, therefore the only person who can mend the flaws in our own personality is ourselves.

This is a difficult process, but with effort and desire and whatever help is available to us, we can fix those early mistakes made by ourselves and others and become the individuals that we all desire to be.
