What I've Learned About On-line Marketing
Today the internet is everywhere, coffee shops, cell phones, even wireless plug inns that can get a signal almost anywhere in the world. Within a few years why wouldn't everybody have this sort of device. If you have a business, why not promote it online? If you want to start a business, the internet is the most cost effective way.
The first step is getting your own website, and not a freebie either. I prefer to use html, this allows me access to do whatever I want to my website whenever I want. I currently market for homeowners who live in Minnesota for my mortgage company, but my website has turned into more then that. I currently accept payments for other companies to get listed on my local content. It works because I have plenty of free advertising out there for it.
After you get a website you need to have someway to accept peoples information on line. There are many options out there that allow you to do automatic follow ups and automatic payments. Now that your website is designed and you have a way to accept information you are ready to make money on-line.
It's time to start generating traffic but you don't know where to go? There are many options that you have to take into consideration, but for the most part you need some trial and error. I believe that is the only way you can truly learn how to market online. I started with auto hitters, don't expect a sale but some auto hitters can teach you a lot.
Exchanging links is another great way to get free hits to your website. The nice thing about link exchanges is that when someone visits from a link exchange they are interested in what you have. Exchanging links also plays a role in where your website will be ranked for certain keywords. The key is not necessarily how many links you have but the quality of the links.
Joining the online communities will bring you some great leads. I am not talking about forums and things like that, actual online communities. I have found some good ones out there that work for any product that you are marketing.
Once you catch the basis of how this unique marketing works you will be ready to spend some money to make some money on line. I have built these strategies up over the past 6 months and I am continuing to add to them. After 6 months of generating these leads I have added over $3,000 in profit. I am currently moving on to Phase 2 of the process.
