It is a deliberate attempt in order to expose the attention of the consumer to some limited merchants only (which probably are of a special interest to the retailers).
You should also be beware of scam merchants. As many a times, the extraordinarily low cost deal provided by some merchants comes out to be scam. You can get a lot of scam merchants in your search results, so you have to be careful in selecting the right deal. Thus the world of price comparison shopping that looks very alluring and easy from outside could be equally treacherous. It is advised that you should be precarious in selecting the final deal.
