Newcastle has an excellent merger of the past and the present - not so much with the equilibrium, but how all these things are laid out together to present a sensational picture. From the significant scenes of Newcastle, to the rightful label as the ultimate nightlife city scene in the UK, you does find this city has more peculiar yet marvelous destinations. Newcastle has been instrumental to the country's industrial development creating a primary city in the region. The Tyne Bridge is definitely the most popular place of interest in all Newcastle. It connects Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead and was designed by Mott, Hay, and Anderson who are also credited for designing the equally popular and beautiful Forth Road Bridge. After designing, Dorman Long and Co. were commissioned to build the bridge.

The bridge was also given cinematographic importance in the movie "Goal" due to the magnificence of the structure.

One can also visit St. James Park, where Newcastle United Football Clubs plays its home matches. It is usually filled with a capacity crowd of 52,387 when the club plays. This is helped by the fact that Newcastle United is the only football club in all Newcastle

Take advantage of the many things to do in Newcastle. Shopping is a big draw here; take a walk through the many works of art displayed for sale at University Gallery, and see many interesting photos from local and regional artists at the Side gallery. Or visit the many parks located throughout Newcastle, such as Gibside, Exhibition Park, and Leazes Park. All the parks are beautifully maintained and easy to get to, and popular for tourists and locals alike. Newcastle offers a wide variety of museums for kids and adults, which in turn offers entertainment and learning value all at once.

There are definitely a lot of classy and delicious restaurants, food stalls, and public houses in the city. A popular pub is Black Bull Public House, which is known for being one of the best football pubs in the city. It is always full on Newcastle United match days. It also offers some quality beer that pub-goers have testified to as 'the best.'

A delicious restaurant, on the other hand, is Comfort Food Co Ltd., which focuses on good cooking and an even better atmosphere to fill its seats up. The food and wine offered in the restaurant is top notch, and the customers are always happy to advertise that Comfort Food is exquisite and unique as a restaurant. It is commonly almost full by 9 pm, so it is wise to visit the restaurant early to enjoy space while enjoying the food and soaking one's self in the atmosphere, as well.

Certainly the best entertainment in Newcastle comes from St. James Park. Whenever Newcastle United Football clubs play a match, all the fans and the townspeople are involved in it. Everyone supports the players through thick and thin. Michael Owen, for example, has gone through a series of injuries, but the Newcastle fans still believe that he is the answer to their striker problems. Another example is Obafemi Martins, who after being rejected by FC Barcelona, was housed by the warm Newcastle crowd. An apt final example is Joey Barton, who always has court cases for assault. Both the Newcastle manager and the Newcastle fans still stand by him and support him during rough times.

When it comes to entertainment, there's nothing more entertaining than the excitement of Newcastle football, along with the warm crowd that can appreciate the human aspect of the athletes.

Newcastle is surely a nice place to visit, as it is a football Mecca as well as a nice place to observe traditional English culture. There are places that offer beer, football, wine, and tea - all the things that make up a solid, traditional English town. The Tyne Bridge is also an attractive place even for non-football fans.
