The unknown child is a child who never gets spoken to or never get to speak. We do not want to raise our children with out communication. We need to slow down, take the time to bring back the family meals and family discussions so our children know that they are wanted and loved. Ask them how their day was and what they think tomorrow will bring. Let them talk about all kinds of friends and enemies. You can teach them so much if you give them a chance to be known.

The unknown child comes home from school, eats alone, watches TV alone, does homework alone, and yes says goodnight to themselves also. How sad is this? It breaks your heart. How can these children communicate when they are out in this big world? How can they function? We all want the best for our children so the easiest thing to do is to talk and let them talk. If this is not happening, what will that child learn? You talk to them to tell them what you want them to do but do you explain why. Why is very important in growing up because it gives you stability. Cause and effect. Just like every thing in life.

Do not raise the unknown child for they grow to become the unknown person. We must give our youngsters compassion, encouragement, the right to fail from time to time and all the communication we could possible think of. Let them be heard and let them be guided by your words. Then you have raised a known child.
