Finding a good Bartending School is for most an extremely rewarding investment and a good step to a fulfilling career. Bartenders who work at some of the hottest clubs in the country can make anything from $400-$600 a night, which is more than enough to live off and you would only have to work a couple of nights a week to have a decent lifestyle.

Many of you out there in drinking land think "oh I can do that, thats easy" so they will enroll in a bartending school and think it is all just pouring drinks and chatting up ladies - easy work, right?.....WRONG!!! If you have ever really watched a bartender at work then you will notice that it takes a lot of concentration to deal with multiple orders for beers wine, and cocktails, while maintaining a good level of customer service and making sure the crowds happy as well as keeping the bar area tidy, multitasking of the magnitude takes more skill that you would imagine. But bartending can be a lot of fun as well, being in a good company of people, hearing the best music on the charts and meeting a lot of new and interesting people is well worth all the effort that you put in.

When checking out the various bartending schools, it is advisable to try the schools that have job placement assistance, as well as this, another key factor to choosing the right bartending school is to always look for the schools that have been in business the longest and have the best reputation, as you do not want a school that is just willy nilly in there training programs as that would just be a complete waste of your time and money.

Being a bartender is more than just pouring drinks, you have to first know the different liquor and liqueur measurements, the various liquors and liqueurs and if you run out what of a particular product what would be good as a substitute, cocktail knowledge, like the difference between a Mai Tai and a Cosmopolitan and various little bi laws, but don't worry because you will learn all that at the bartending school.

Bartending is really 80% personality and 20% Knowledge, making people feel welcome, providing efficient, friendly and professional service and its always good to be the life of the party! One thing I have noticed about bartenders is the more confident you are about any kind of bartending, the more tips you will get, because people love to be entertained, flattered or left astonished
