Freelance home writers have been making money on the internet for many years now. If you have thought about making money writing from home, then you will have considered blogging as an option.

Blogging is a fantastic way to make money online, but with so many people already doing it, is just anyone able to get started and be successful?

The answer is yes, it is very possible, and if done the right way, will be very profitable for you.

There are two main ways to go about blogging for a living. You can either blog for someone else, freelancing from home, or you can blog for yourself, as part of an online business.

The benefits of blogging for someone else are;

1. Get paid regularly - You know how much you will be getting paid every day.

2. No need for web programming and marketing experience - Because you are getting paid per bog, there is no need to know any online skills such as web programming, graphic design or marketing knowhow.

The downsides of blogging for someone else are;

1. It is a regular job. You get paid for how much work you do, and that is all. Your income is limited to how many blogs you can produce in a day.

2. Someone else is making a lot of money from your work.

If you are blogging for yourself, and have one or two or ten blogs, it will be as part of an overall internet marketing business. You will have a sales funnel in place, and you will have ways of making your blog rank better in search engines. Visitors to your site will be encouraged to buy the product or service you are promoting, making you money.

The benefits of blogging for yourself are;

1. You run your own timescale during the day - As you are building up your internet marketing business, you decide what you do, and when you do it. You are not responsible to someone else.

2. The income potential is huge - Because you are driving people through your blog to a product or service, the number of people visiting your site is only limited by your work ethic, your creativity and your skills in this area. It is very possible to have sales of thousands of dollars a day, which is far beyond anything you could earn by blogging for someone else.

The disadvantage of blogging for yourself is;

1. You need to do a lot of work with very small return before you start seeing a return on your efforts. This means you will need to have a separate income to start with, while you are building up your business. This requires good time management skills, and a dedication to your vision.

Where you decide to head is entirely up to you, and will depend on your circumstances and vision for the future. The advantage all freelance home writers have is that you have to freedom to choose exactly how you want to earn your money, which mean that you are never stuck in a dead end job with no way out. Blogging is the future!
