Belief And Suppression By The Collective

Once, when I was a child of perhaps six or seven, I decided I wanted to roll a single number over and over with the dice from a board game. My older brother had left the room to go eat lunch and I finally had a chance to play with the dice by myself. As I rolled the dice I intended them to come up as a six on every roll. I managed to do this approximately 5 or 6 times in a row before I was interrupted by my mother calling me to come eat lunch. I remember being very happy about the dice coming up with the same number over and over again.

How was I able to do this? I suspect it has something to do with belief. When I was a child I sincerely believed I could affect the dice with my thoughts. I don't remember where I got the idea from, perhaps some TV show. But, I distinctly remember feeling a warm pleasure at being able to do this. It really didn't surprise me that I was doing this, since I believed wholeheartedly that it was possible. I remember telling my brother later that I was doing this and he told me that it was impossible and that I was lying.

The suppressions of older siblings is just a microcosm of the suppression of society as a whole telling us that things are impossible. The collective consciousness is weighing on us every minute of every day, telling us what is possible and what is not. So, how do we escape the oppression of the collective?

The only way I can see to get my child like belief back is to actually think with something besides my programmed brain. How do I do that? Through non-thought. How do I attain non-thought? Through meditation and other practices that allow me to get around my organic brain. But wait a minute, how am I thinking if I am having non-thought? Right, your thinking with your higher consciousness. Don't worry, it takes practice. But, like anything, the more you practice the better you get. If I can escape the collective programming telling me something is not possible then suddenly it becomes possible. This is one of the keys to bending reality.

Belief is a hard thing to change though, even with non-thought. I find that starting with something small that is not affected much by the collective consciousness helps. For instance: Cloud Busting. I first read about cloud busting 25 years ago in a Richard Bach book called Illusions. This book doesn't go into much detail about cloud busting and my first efforts to recreate the cloud busting that I read about were not that successful. Now, 25 years later, I have found a much better technique and I can dissolve pretty large clouds with just my intent.

Oh yeah, another reason cloud busting is a good place to start working on beliefs is because not that many people are looking up at the sky. Therefore, the collective consciousness is not holding such a grip on what is possible above our heads. Besides, clouds come and go anyway, so it's not that hard for your internal governor to release a little control to let you believe you can do it.

Go ahead and try some cloud busting today. Start with a little wisp of a cloud and build up to larger clouds.
