Did you know that excess gas and sweating can be caused by stress? It's no wonder that after an interview you look like you just got caught in a down pour. Sometimes our bodies just do things that we don't want it to, but there are some ways to control it. Sooner or later, these embarrassing bodily functions happen to everyone and sometimes the best solution is to ignore it. This article will address some our most embarrassing bodily functions and how to prevent them.

Bladder leaks or stress incontinence is the most common type of bladder problem found in women. It often causes small leaks when we laugh, cough, cry, or even exercise. It is important to know that it's normal to some degree. For example, every woman who has given birth has reported some sort of urinary problem that's impossible to avoid. However, it is a wise idea to consult a doctor to make sure it's not a serious issue. If the coast is clear, Kegel exercises will help tighten the bladder muscles that control the flow.

Burping is another problem we all face. Of course, it always seems to happen when we are in an important meeting or smashed into a crowded elevator. Heavy sighs due to anxiety can lead to burping because too much air is being swallowed at once. Here's the real shocker - gassy foods can also contribute to the uncontrollable noises so try to avoid over doing your fried food intake and increase your water intake. Gas causing foods vary slightly between each individual so perhaps keeping track of what you eat in a journal might identify the culprits.

Sweating is another favorite amongst everyone from teachers to those going on their first date. It never fails, does it? Some of us are more sweat prone than others but I'm sure we can all relate in certain stressful situations. The hormone cortisol is produced as a result of high stress which creates that flight or fight response we get when we're "under the gun." Consider getting a prescription strength deodorant; reduce your caffeine and spicy food intake, or put a cold compress on your wrists to cool down. Just remember - don't sweat the small stuff.
