Hardwood floors are a very popular flooring option right now. When you are shopping for hardwoods you will want to select a wood type and finish that will compliment your home's decor. You can select from exotic woods and domestic woods, and you can also select from light, medium and dark finishes. Hardwood floors are best suited to dry rooms like living rooms and bedrooms. It is not a good idea to install hardwood floors in your bathroom. The price for hardwood floors vary by the type of wood used, the color and the brand.

If you prefer a less expensive flooring option that has the beauty of hardwood floors then you can buy laminate floors. Laminate flooring is much cheaper than hardwood floors, they are more durable than hardwood and in many cases they are easier to install. Laminate floors are designed to be water resistant so they can be installed in both dry rooms and wet rooms. You can find laminate flooring for less than $1 per square foot.

If you are looking for flooring options for a wet room like your bathroom, then you should look for a flooring product that will be able to handle water exposure and moisture. Linolium is a good option for bathrooms and so is ceramic tile. If you are looking for an easy to install flooring product, than you may want to consider linoleum tiles. These tiles are usually self stick so you don't have to worry about adhesives. They are also very easy to cut so you can fit them easily around toilets, vanities and the bathtub. Ceramic tiles are more expensive than linoleum, and they require special cutting tools and adhesives.

To protect your hardwood or laminate flooring from damage you can use area rugs. Area rugs come in a variety of sizes, shapes, colors and patterns. You can find area rugs for less than $25 and you can also find high quality designer rugs for several thousand dollars.
