Free Article Are Your Shoes Too Tight?

OK - I admit - I do not have the reputation for wearing practical shoes! However, as I have gotten a little older ( and a little smarter!) I have realized some of my shoes HAD to go as they just didn't work for me anymore.

In business, and in sales, it is super easy to become complacent and slide into our comfortable"shoes" even if they don't look good, don't provide the support we are needing, and frankly - just don't work with that many outfits!

The "shoes" I am referring to here are the outdated beliefs, systems, customers and practices that you may be hanging onto. Correction! What I KNOW you are hanging onto!

How Long Have You Been Doing What You're Doing?

The longer you have been in business the more dangerous your old habits become. When was the last time you tried something new? Launched a new product/service? Have you been coasting a little because you're doing well or else you think something new might fail or take too much time/money/energy?

If You Haven't Done Something New in the Past 30 days You Are Already Failing I am not kidding. The longer you continue with the status quo the harder it is to get your self back in action! Here Are 3 Sales Divas Action Steps:

1) Release a client. You know who I am talking about. The one that just doesn't fit you anymore but you are afraid to let them go or you are afraid to lose the revenue. Release them with respect and you will be THRILLED at the opportunities that begin coming your way! 2)Take a Chance. I know there is something cooking on the back-burner of your mind. There is something you keep thinking about but delaying action. Get cracking! It isn't going away for a reason - it needs to see the light of day!

3)Change Your Mind. This one can be tough for me too! We get set in our ways of what we thought was right - except that was based on the experiences from the past! Business is different than what it was 3 months ago, one year ago, five years ago. Release a belief you have about doing it yourself, hiring out, what type of customer you need. It probably doesn't fit you anymore! So ditch the shoes no matter how expensive they have been) and move on to a fresh new pair or pairs in my case!
