How To Be Successful In Everything You Do As An Infopreneur

Over the 10 years I have taught Internet infopreneurs, there are several key observations I have made about those who succeed versus those who do not. And they can be distilled down into a set of 'core principles' anyone can adapt and follow to massive success.
Your confidence and attitude
It's absolutely critical that you get the right mindset. And that's the attitude that says you're going to win - no matter what.
If you think this attitude is going to appear out of nowhere magically, think again. It takes time and patience and a lot of introspection and thinking over your priorities.
When you come home tired from work, are you going to crash in front of the TV - or sit down in front of your computer and update your website?
When you're feeling down and frustrated, are you going to gloat in your misery - or force yourself to crank out that next article?
When you're constantly 'failing' after trying one thing after another, and none of them work, are you going to throw up your hands and say "Enough" and quit - or keep trying the next one, and the next, and yet another ... until you crack the code?
All of these choices hinge on your purpose - and your passion.
Your Purpose
I believe a lot depends on your purpose. It's the defining force for what you do in your online business - or anything at all.
Your "Why" determines, more than any other thing, your success at content marketing and building a successful infopreneur business. It drives you to keep going, gives you the energy and enthusiasm to stick it out, and fulfills you when you achieve success.
Spend some time thinking about it before you begin. Are you in this to make some extra cash? Is it going to be your sole income earner? Will it complement something else you're working on? Is it the first step in a bigger plan?
Also, think about the deeper reason you do what you do. If you want to replace your day job, think of it as a way to spend more time at home, with your family or doing what you like, rather than punching a clock and doing the 9-to-5 grind.
If you're looking for supplemental income, focus on what you want to do with it - take a vacation, indulge in a small luxury, get your kids something special, buy yourself a new car or home. Whatever.
Find your true inner driving force for your content marketing effort and you cannot help succeeding. You'll attract success with your attitude and effort.
Pitfalls to avoid
In addition to having a great attitude and being fired by a passionate purpose, it is equally important to steer clear of the potholes and minefields that could pull you down or hold you back.
Be willing to take reasonable risks. Nothing great can be achieved until you are ready to get out of your comfort zone and take massive action. Keep constantly learning, being willing to try and fail, while learning from the experience.
Do not get stuck in the 'not good enough' trap. Perfectionism is a desirable trait in some areas. Infopreneuring is NOT one of them. Instead of getting stuck in 'analysis-paralysis', keep moving forward with a curious mind open to suggestions and feedback - and keep improving what you do until you have created an excellent product, process or service.
Model success.
There is no need to reinvent the wheel. Infopreneuring is an established field. Success stories abound. Find your ideal role models. Study what they do, how they do it, and how they grow and succeed. Then model that behavior in your information marketing efforts.
Keep believing in yourself. Remember... "Whether you think you can - or believe you cannot - you are always right!"
