The Mariners tickets are always in popular demand due to the consistent star performance of the team. The Mariners are a professional American baseball team based in Seattle, Washington, United States. This team is a member of the Western Division of Major League Baseball's American League. The home stadium of the team is Safeco Field. From 1977 till June 1999, the club's home park was Kingdome. The team was nicknamed "The M's" which was also a part of their logo from 1987 to 1992, with Mariner Moose as their mascot. The current colors of the team are navy blue, northwest green and metallic silver.

The M's - Origin And History

The Mariners made their debut in April 1977 but lost to the California Angels. The Mariners were sold in the year 1981 to George Argyros. The team was never devoid of star players. However, with players like pitcher Gaylord Perry, 1984 American League Rookie of the Year Alvin Davis, two-time All-Star and three-time Gold Glove winner Harold Reynolds, three-time American League strikeout leader Mark Langston and shortstop and team captain Spike Owen, the M's showed dismal performances during the 1970s and the 1980s. This led to a dip in the sale of the Mariners tickets.

The team, after such poor performances, witnessed their first winnings in the season of 1991. After the team's buyout by a group of Seattle based businessmen, the team's performance began to improve in 1994.

The team lost their first two games of the ALDS against the Yankees but won the next two at home, defeating the New York Yankees, resulting in a huge rush for Mariners tickets. The Mariners also have a record for the most wins in a single season with 116, achieved in the year 2001. In 1996, the Mariners won a record 85 games led by Griffey, rookie shortstop Alex Rodriguez and sluggers Jay Buhner and Edgar Martínez. The team, again, won the division title in 1997, but was defeated in the ALDS by Baltimore Orioles. The year 2000 again favored the Mariners and they were declared the wild card winners clinching the divison crown due to the tie-breaker rules.

In 2001, "The M's" won the American League West Division Championship and beat the previous Major League Baseball record for single season wins of 116 set by Chicago Cubs in 1906.

The year 2002 started good, but the team missed out on the playoffs. The team again had an excellent start in 2003 and reached the same record as 2002, but was beaten in the playoffs by Oakland Athletics.

Barring the 1998 and 1999 seasons, the Mariners have been annual challengers for the AL West title from 1995 to 2003. The team had a low profile in terms of divisional ratings during 2005 and finished at the last place.

Mariners Hall Of Fame

The team has enjoyed Mariners Hall of Fame with members like Dave Niehaus, Broadcaster (1977-present), Alvin Davis (1984-91), Jay Buhner (1988-2001) and Edgar Martínez, DH (1987-2004).

No matter what the team's standing has been, the Mariners tickets have always been in demand due to the team's popularity all through since its origin. Thus, it is advisable to book the Mariners tickets well in advance to ensure a definite entry to the game as well as to experience the comfort of getting them reserved from an authorized ticket broker just with a click of your mouse!
