What's a reputation got to do with the success of your business? It actually means everything. That's the main thing that you want to protect that is why you are hiring the best, even when it comes to commercial printing services.

1.    In creating your promotion, of course, you should first study your competitors' ads and claims. But do not go directly hitting and disproving those claims, especially if you don't have the proper research to back you up. If you think that they are making a big hype out of nothing, the best thing that you can do is to come up with a simpler version that you think will be better appreciated by the market once they find out what's the real score.

Do not mix words or play up with your competitors' ads. If they say it in a certain way and then you opt to just add some more words into it by making the offer better, you might end up being sued. What you can do here is to focus with what you have and make excellent offers by focusing on your strong points than on exaggerating your competitors' weaknesses.

2.    Do not get yourself entangled in a word fight with your competitors. You don't want this situation to get blown away and maybe picked up by the media. Yeah, you may think that this is exposure anyway. But this will not do you any good. Once the dirty laundry is out there, it may go out of control until even your personal lives may have been dragged into this whole fiasco.

3.    In order to achieve a successful sale, do not opt to badmouthing your competitors. Do not say that you are the best because company A is expensive and company B is weak.  You can tell clients that your competitors are also good, but you are the best. And then you can cite proofs to convince them more.
