Here are 5 key principles toachieve anything in life. While they may not be as detailed as I'd like them tobe, I will let the human spirit fill in the blanks. Have a read and it mayresonate with you or it may not - but these are the very stuff that successesare made of.

Never, never, never allowyourself to be influenced by others! Yes, advice is a valuable thing but thereis a difference between taking advice and following orders. The best thing isto get different viewpoints from different people and collating them in ascrapbook of 'points of view' Filter those which make sense, add a dash ofpersonalized dialogue and listen to that small still voice in your head thatrepresents your needs, your wants and your desires. The final solution shouldpresent itself but remember that advice comes everyday, so don't be stuck in astubborn rut that one day you might find you cannot get out of.

Be prepared to take criticismand react positively. Throwing a tantrum and assorted furniture around is notgoing to solve anything. Nor is being sullen and allowing your emotions blockout criticism that can possibly save you from failure. Criticism is the toolthat refreshes my perspectives in life and readjusts my goals and mystrategies. Criticism is the strength that I draw from to renew my mission inlife, which is to succeed in anything that I do. Don't be foolish and block outthe negative things being thrown at you because at the end of the day, it isthese things that are the turnkeys to a critical realization that you might bedoing things wrong or you might be going the wrong way.

Have a positive outlookbecause depression can kill your hopes, literally. Readjust yourself when everyou fail. Picking yourself up and carrying on is not just a cliché reserved formovies, but it is an adage that every successful person has lived by since thedawn of time.

Never, never take an easyroute without first weighing the pros and cons. Notice how I didn't say youshould avoid it at all costs - shortcuts to success are not the devil's butterand should be scratched out from any winning strategy but if you see a goldenopportunity - take it. Working hard is one thing but working smart is another. Why allow yourself to sweat, bleed and tear for a goal you can achieve withouta mammoth effort. Leverage - remember that word, because it could lead you tomassive success.

Learn, and be on the constantjourney to learn. Never be afraid to juxtapose yourself against yourcompetitors or those who you think are on the same journey you are. If you haveto emulate to escalate yourself above others, then do it. Take the good andleave the bad behind. Life is a constant journey of learning and once youmaster such a spiritual classroom, then and only then will your road to successbe easier to tread on.
